No thank you. I don’t eat a lot of meat so don’t think it would make any difference to me personally.

Theirs only one type of meat ,and it’s derived from animals, can’t trust lad meat after all just the think of the covid jab ,and just think in a few years you will b told what to eat you wont get a choice and what happens all the animals do we kill them all off and how do we replace the livelihoods of thousands of farmers dependent on meat consumption,to me the world is slowly going crazy and people need to wake pretty soon or we won’t know what we,re eating

If I were a vegetarian, I might see some point in the exercise, however I'm not and really don't understand! I don't eat alot of red meat but what I do, I enjoy. What is the point?

It is something that doesn't appeal. I enjoy meat whenever I want to and I enjoy vegetables as well. I am not into these rubbish diets vegan etc. Me I eat what I want, which seems smaller portions now that I am retired. I found out yesterday about the future in farming for vegetables which was interesting, called vertical farming. This is done in a controlled large shed where crops are grown on different levels. So carrots could grow on the first level, greens on the second, potatoes on the third and so on. Not only a shed may be of a field in size but the shed could be placed anywhere close to end user, so less travel for the products. The first here in the UK is in Norfolk, and over the years they think it will be the future, as no need to use poisons as the crop is in a contained area free from birds, rodents etc.

@paulg54 yes if they get away with this carry on theirs no knowing where it will end and of course they would b able control people then and dictate to them what they can and can’t do in the future so it’s time people copped on and get rid of this kind of rubbish

@Mikejohn I agree now they want to control who can and can't drive, what a pickle. I am 70 and I use an app on my phone that records my driving, I am always in the 900 out of 1000 range, usually 980 something. I got cheap car insurance because of my drive score, went from £800 down to £580, I have my eyes tested every year, and my abilities checked by my GP as am on anti depressants 225mg, and my driving is only local, don't do any long drives, and now they have started on the young. Be nice if they could leave us all alone. PG

Hello everyone,
How are you today? 😊
Lab-grown meat, also known as cultivated or in-vitro meat, is no longer a futuristic concept. Already available in some countries and seeking approval in others, this technology could completely transform the food industry. Some claim it’s better for the environment, more ethical, and tastes just like traditional meat, while others are sceptical about its safety, flavour, and whether it’s truly a sustainable alternative.
Let’s discuss this exciting topic:
Would you try artificial meat?
What advantages do you see in lab-grown meat, like reduced environmental impact or improved animal welfare?
Do you have any concerns, such as health risks, taste, or the technology behind it?
Do you think artificial meat is a genuine alternative for meat lovers, or just a niche product?
How much would price and availability influence your decision to give it a try?
