I think Carenity is a pretty good site as it is actually, however the things that are being planned do sound exciting, and I wonder what form these changes will take.

Further to the above, the only thing I would like to see more of is members posting! Some of the threads I have been in seem really dead, and it is only beneficial to us all if we can get conversations going, otherwise you feel as if you are talking to yourself.

I agree @bumperlady , but give it time ... I will keep posting on here . I try to be as positive as I can and help lift others ... I do believe it is impossible to feel bad while trying to make others feel good . I like many of the functions on Carenity , like having a friends list , and " who has viewed your profile " etc. Being less restricted in this way allows people to be themselves and you get to learn who your true friends are . I have found quite a bit of unpleasantness on other depression forums , much because they do not allow members to interact at all on a one to one basis without sharing with the entire group . Of course messages should be monitored to control the risk of any nastiness , but it is human nature to sometimes wish to have a word with one of your pals . The strategy that this other forum has is designed to avoid conflicts and problems , but I have found it actually does the opposite and makes things much worse , as nobody really knows who their true friends are . This site has all the right ideas and I really do hope it becomes more and more popular . My advice is to comment on as many threads as you can , which will greatly increase the likelihood of a reply ... My best wishes to you all :-)

Yes @xDarenx, I really agree with all your comments above, I think this site has the potential to be excellent, as there are some lovely people who use Carenity and it is most uplifting to share thoughts with like minded people.

I came up with an idea to try and get more activity on the discussions. Every evening, I go onto the new members on the home page, I go to the link at the bottom of the ones showing, where it says more.
I have created a short welcome message - a general one for those who do not share my health conditions, and one each for each condition, all saved down in word. I go down the list and send the basic welcome to everyone who does not share anything in common with me, just so they have a message. I then send the appropriate message to each one who does share something in common and invite them to be a friend.
My theory is, every time I post in a forum, I will start saying so on my newsfeed, which will go to all the friends. They may be encouraged to read it and join the conversation. Just a thought, but it might get things going a bit more :)

Hello everyone,
Last Wednesday, all the Carenity team met for a brainstorming morning! We were able to discuss the improvements we want to make for Carenity in order to be able to meet your expectations.
Rest assured that this reflection was thanks to you and our goal of bringing you always a better service! You can now see that we have launched a survey to understand your usage and needs.
But, we didn’t work all day, in the afternoon we also did a bit of team building and had fun! I share with you a pic of this time together.
What do you think about the idea of improving Carenity and the survey?
Good day to all!
