I had to call in "Outside Clinics" to come to my home for my eye tests as I am housebound now and can't get to my regular optician who was great by the way. I was experiencing very blurry sight as I use my computer and read a lot, I thought I was causing myself problems but then it could have been because my Diabetes wasn't doing so good so I also had a blood test. If there's anyone out there who is disabled and housebound I recommend you contact Outside Clinics and make an appointment with them to come to your home and they are extremely thorough and even do the diabetic screen tests which I had too. They were very professional and I ended up needing distance glasses for watching TV and also stronger reading glasses which didn't surprise me. The guy had a very varied arrangement of frames and I got nice frames for both glasses and I am very happy with them. It has made a lot of difference to my sight now & I'm glad my doctor's surgery recommended them otherwise I would never had know that I could have someone come to my home.

Hi all. So I am just over a year into my type 2 diabetes. I have been given my results of my latest eye tests and there is background retinopathy. The doctor wasn't very good at explaining what that would actually mean to me. Has anybody else experienced this?
