I had to stop taking it as when I got up in the morning I couldn't move my right arm I could send the signals there but nothing would happen a little while which scared the heck out of me. I would find something else if you could but that's just me.

And it didn't matter what I ate but I was on other tablets for other things that were more important to me.

Hi Jemzy
I take a lot of quetiapine, 800 mg, and I eat a lot of fruit. I have never experienced any gastric symptoms, unless you count putting on weight. There isn't any scientific reason why I should. There is a well established fruit interaction with Quetiapine but that is with a specific fruit not fruit in general. The fruit concerned is grapefruit/grapefruit juice. It has been suggested that Pomegranate can act in a similar way to grapefruit but this is a long way off being established fact.
I am not at all sure that even if you ate grapefruit with Quetiapine it would give you gastric symptoms. The grapefruit would affect liver enzymes which would slow the breakdown of Quetiapine. You would end up with higher system levels of Quetiapine and would probably experience more side effects, if you experienced anything. The most common gastric effects of Quetiapine are constipation and indigestion.
But other than grapefruit there is no reason to avoid any fruit. Since you are getting symptoms though it would be worth discussing things thoroughly with your doctor.

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H
