I went for breathing tests and then a few weeks later I was back in hospital for my breathing, and the doctor who was treating me after reading my notes told me that it was COPD, hope this was helpful.

I was struggling to breathe and I met someone who had copd and said did have it I didn't know went to see my doc who referred me to specialist at the hospital who were lovely I was there for about 2 hours and the did x Ray's and breathing tests and I was diagnosed then. That's was about 7 years ago I have a check up with my copd nurse at my doctors and they decide what meds to give me. Don't worry to much about the hospital visit my experience has always been positive. Hope all goes well for you x

I was attending the repertory clinic for sever Asthma since I was 14 but when I was about 50 I started to cough blood ( I know a bit gory) and they thought I had lung cancer but when the tests came back it was negative for cancer but showed up small bits of brocilactius and now its got a bit worse with me taking loads of infections over the years.

Hi Trcy72 its sounds as if you may have a touch of fibrosis in your lungs hope you have been to your GP and get a appointment with the respiratory team they might give some tablets to clear your lungs or open them up so you can clear them

Hi was just wondering what where people’s symptoms and how they came about their copd diagnosis ? I have severe asthma and waiting on appointment to see lung specialist at hospital. I’m worried I may now have copd on top of my asthma as seems to run in my family.
