Everyday dealing with breast cancer is frightening sometimes I really find hard to sleep because I'm so scared I'm not going to wake up ,I really dont feel like a complete woman anymore I had a mastectomy and I have had radiotherapy I already suffered with asthma and copd but since the radiotherapy it has caused me to have emphysema also I suffered with osteoporosis but since I have had to take my cancer pill my hot flushes has come back and my osteoporosis has got worse ,i have a lot of pain in my arms back knees and leg joints ,also now i have lymphoedema, and have to wear a stocking on my arm and a glove on my hand ,when i cough with my emphysema I'm scared that my ribs are going to break also I hate this breast cancer I have one year clear but I still have to wait for nine more years before the complete all clear and that is so worrying as I will be 74 when I do get the all clear my friends have had it come back and that doesn't help with my anxiety it just adds more stress I have even had angina attacks and had to have blood tests at my hospital living with this is a complete nightmare especially when I have loads of other illnesses to its like the icing on the cake and that to me is hard to come to term with well this is what my life is like living with my breast cancer your friend tiggs

Hi. I had a lumpectomy three years ago and this was followed by radiation. Since then I have never been able to sleep on my left side which has been left sore and painful from the radiotherapy and a large lump of scar tissue at the side of my breast. I also suffer with numerous pains all over my body. I used to wear compression gloves and sock but now don't need the gloves so much. Still need the socks. This Friday I will be having an ultra sound on the scar tissue to see if there are any changes in it since year one. I am now three years clear and still taking my Anastrazole. I don't worry about it reoccuring because I believe it's almost inevitable, but my faith keeps me strong and I believe what will be will be. So what's the point of worrying?

I had a lumpectomy and full node clearance followed by 15 rounds of radiotherapy i refused fec chemotherapy was put on arimidex the side effects after just 2 days was horrendous struggled to walk and kept dropping things so much pain everywhere and couldnt sleep. I stuck it for 12 months then they put me on exemerstane which wasnt much better i was on thise for 6 months then put on letrozole. Its just over 9 years since my operation i cant walk far my hips and knees are terrible. Still not sleeping and got a trigger finger on my left hand the side my breast cancer was on. I only go out on monday food shopping withy daughter its aged me at least 30 years but my love of my gardens has kept me going it takes my mind off it. I still keep thinking its come back as ive had so many problems. Fluid retention. Bone hurts on my left leg and calcium in my blood have to keep going for blood tests.

Am in my 9th year since surgery, Chemotherapy and Radium treatment and have have been on Tamoxifen and for the last few years Anastrozole which I am due to stop next year. Have been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis which combined with the side affects of the cancer treatment/drugs and getting older have had a major impact on my life and what I am able to do. Have bad days and good days but finding I can do less and am in pain now most of the time. Waiting to see if any change next year when I stop some of the drugs to see if some of the side effects are being caused or elevated by them and making my PA worse.

Thanks dee they took one out which was cracked biting on a hard nectarine but still seems to be some left. I go on the 9th to have another 3 out at the top front which will be 4 on a plate as i already had one there so dreading it now they told me to get something to eat before i go when i went on wed for the bite. Just hope they dont have to have another go at the bottom one as was hoping just to cope with the top plate.
