Hello everyone,
How are you doing? I thought I would come and revive this group and share our new testimonial!
Erwan, a member of Carenity France recently shared his experience with alcoholism and sobriety, and how it inspired him to write a book! You can read it here: Alcoholism: "To stop drinking is to be free!"
What is your experience with alcohol dependence or addiction? How was your journey to recovery?
Feel free to share here!
Take care,
Courtney

@Courtney_J Very intersting, I had a read of the testimonial and I noticed a few parallels with Erwan. I too think that I developed my dependence during my student years and I also had many wobbles throughout my sobriety, but have been strong for the past 8 years.

Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well!
If you haven't seen it already, we've just published an article explaining addiction - how it works and why it happens, who is susceptible, how it is treated. Feel free to give it a read here: What is addiction?
How do you cope with your addiction to alcohol? Have you ever been in treatment for you? What has helped you?

I could not cope with the addiction myself and had to beg for help from a rehab center. I also read the rehab recovery guide for addiction issues in Coombe Dingle, which led me to abbeycare. It was a ray of light in the darkness I had created for myself. I suggest you take a look at it if you have addiction issues.
