If I could get rid of one symptom,,,,,,, it would be that of 'nigh-constant' PAIN' - sitting, standing, walking, lying-down (except on my left side) - you name it - it's just so damn difficult these days to find very much relief from the PAIN caused by a Hip-Fracture in Early Jan'20! I've just turned 77 so I guess recovery (if possible) takes L O N G E R the older one becomes! Has anyone out there got any hints or tips to make life more bearable?? Oh, by the way, I moved last August into a Care Home (as I wasn't coping well on my own @ home - I can honestly say it's the BEST Thing I've ever done in a long,, L O N G time!!

@howiebabe Did they do a hip replacement when you broke it? You shouldn't be in pain this long!
The only thing I might suggest is doing exercises and physical therapy. Good luck, I do hope you get some
relief!

I have secondary ms arthritis 3 prolapsed discs in my spine. I fell last yr broke my right hip. I was out of bed the next day. I am a former personal trainer. I exercise daily yes sometimes a struggle. If I didnt exercise I would be almost paralysed. Exercising is the most natural thing in the world. I have to exercise you please tell yourself you can do it. I had to exercise no I cant do it I had to after Mexico husband walked out of our 26yr marriage. I lived alone until I met the genuine guy I now live with

I'm 64yrs I broke my right hip june 2020. I was out of bed next day. The longer you stay in bed in pain the worse the pain. I was out of hospital after 4 days. The pain was hell. If I hadnt have pushed myself pain or no pain I'd be a mesh now. As I have secondary ms. 3 prolapsed discs in my spine. Also my hands dont work due to two operations that went wrong on them both. Stop feeling sorry for yourself get walking living there is too many others suffering far worse

I'm so sorry to hear you have primary progressive MS. I have secondary ms myself so I do understand how your feeling. Please try to push yourself as much as you can. Exercise has kept me walking with a stick. You sound a lovely lady I'm also a former personal trainer. Try please if possible to set yourself goals to aim for. Anything should help keep the ms from worsening . Good Luck x
