The intense itching from my cholinergic urticaria, which leads to me scratching, breaking skin, not sleeping, being totally uncomfortable, unable to wear synthetic fabrics etc etc. Drives me insane at times. Daily antihistamines plus strong steroid creams still don't control the itch.

Definitely pain. Walking with being bent from my hips is painful on my back, and unable to stand without support of crutches or furniture is extremely difficult

Thinking about this subject again, I think the main ailment I'd love to get rid of is migraine/headaches... I've had headaches for several years, and of course with brain aneurysm surgery last year these still continue. Some days are better than others, but I find by taking Panadol it gives me some relief. Headaches can also bring on seizures, but having epilepsy has taught me to have the strength and willpower to carry on with life.
Its also taught me to be independent, patient, kind and show support to others in the community!
We all have a symptom we would love to 'get rid of', but perseverance, patience and understanding is the key to control!
Wishing all my Carenity UK friends and supporters a happy day today!

I've not been active lately as I have been very busy with university work and then when that settled down we all got caught up in the pandemic. That meant studying from home which created a bit of a upheaval at home making sure I have all the necessary information I need to study. Then I started to feel a bit strange, while my husband was sat with his fleece on in the house saying that he was cold, I was going around opening the windows and back door because I was sweating so much. Having hormone problems we put it down to that, until last Tuesday evening when I ended up getting taken to the local A&E department. I'd been coughing blood since the Monday morning and my GP put me on antibiotics but by Tuesday night I was crying with pain in my chest, my throat and mouth looks and feels like it's been scalded and I couldn't breathe properly. To cut a long story short I was diagnosed with lobar pneumonia and given a course of the same antibiotics that my GP had given me but at double the dose. Roll to today and I've been given more antibiotics, told I need an X-ray in another 5 weeks on my chest and have to be referred to the respiratory clinic, so even though I wish it was over and done with, it's not over yet.
