@Toots306 Good Morning,
I am so sorry to hear your story, but unfortunately I’m not surprised at all. I was a Nurse for 30 years and I saw the outrageous medical and nursing “job”!!! I was so happy to come to England because I thought I was going to learn more!!!! It was the opposite I “tried to teach!” My knowledge to the Nurses but it was just “time lost”!! Nobody wants to learn nothing!!! As soon as the Hospitals knew about my knowledge and skills I was “used and abused!” I wish I could help!!! I could take care of Your dog!!! It’s appalling that you don’t have no support from the relevant “Services!!!” I live alone with my cat and although I can’t really do much due to my Neuropathic Pain I take a day to do the minimal to keep my Flat nice and tidy!!!
I don’t have no help everything that I need needs to be bought online as I can’t walk...
My Love And My Hugs 🤗
Feel free to speak with me when ever you like!
Stay Strong!!!!

@Izzyjamal I am fine really I think I have just gotten used to staying home and not really seeing anyone. I worked my whole life until I was 57 I'm 64 now arthritis started in my feet and after three years I had to stop working. Really was just as well as my hubby got sick soon after and needed my care. After his C-diff he never could control his bowels and for the last two years if his life couldn't walk so i had to buy walkers to get him into toilet but ended up with a commode. It got really hard looking after him as by then my hands and hip were affected and I had difficulty doing even simple stuff at times. It's mainly my hip that keeps me home. I bought myself a little scooter to let me take my dog out but have only used it once....I feel self conscious. He gets four short walks a day ...really short but he has my garden. The garden is my happy place lol, it cheers me up when I can sit in it ...but here in Scotland I'm afraid the weather's not brilliant!. I dont get any benefits for my disability..my canes and scooter I bought myself. I should apply for help but I just dont have any inclination to do so. Hopefully the weather will warm up soon as last year I really did brighten up just by buying garden stuff. I hope you can feel better too...its not nice being in pain x

@Toots306 Good Morning Lovely Lady,
I respect your decision. But I lost control of my bladder and bowels!!! Accidents happened until I went to my GP!!!
I went to see the Continence Team and I had to fight but I ended up getting my pull up pads!!! My skin “brakes” easily and I have all the reams and sprays that I need from my GP!!!
I survive with my Benefits I have to!!!
Icant walk my balance is horrendous I have broke more bones that you can imagine...
I now have a Wet Room to have my showers alone!!
I have no help from nobody. Manchester City Council let me ALONE!!!!!
FIGHT SHOUT DO NOT GIVE UP!!!
HUGS ?????

@Toots306 good morning, I had always been adamant I wasn't going to have one of those old people's electric buggies (I worked with the elderly for 25yrs and fell over those things regularly) until I had my stroke 4yrs ago
Even then at first I wouldn't have one, I used a self propelling wheelchair, but the arthritis in my hands got so bad I couldn't get myself around so my hubby just up and got me a buggy and I swollowed my pride and had a go and I would be lost without it
I'm not old either I'm not 66 until September and I don't give a hoot what people think I am free, I can go shopping again, go with hubby to take the dog's out something I love to do buggy equals freedom please don't let embarrassment stop you from having that 😊 Sonia x

@Maggie-mae I love mine. I had taken me round the world twice (on cruises) also round South America and Africa. She's a darling and means we can take our various grandchildren out to theme parks in the school holidays. My eldest granddaughter asked for one for her birthday when she was 11 as she thought it was "cool!!

@lar123 Oh my goodness, our grandchildren all like to sit on my lap and have a go, even the youngest of our two dogs throws a limp now and again on the way home from their walk so she gets a ride 😊 as I said it equals freedom, your not stuck in door's. We actually were talking about a cruise a whether you can take it on the ship, I used a walker last time we went on one but that was before I had the stroke and we didn't see any buggys used then, so I'm so glad you wrote I can tell hubby that I can take it, take care and happy scootering lol 😀 Sonia x

@Maggie-mae . You just need to check with your cruise company when you book but we've never had a problem. I've done around 15 cruises with mine and only once on a very small ship I was not allowed to use it on board but they had a secure area near the gangway where they kept scooters - and charged them up - so I could still use it ashore. We've been to some amazing places. So lucky!! Take care. Linda

Good Morning Lovely Ladies!!!
Happy Sunday!
I have been fighting to have. Mobility Scooter myself. I applied for a Grant and only on Thursday I had the most amazing experience!!! Muscular Dystrophy awarded me money for a Laptop in full and for a Mobility Scooter!!!! Thank started to cry with Happiness!!! I have been fighting for 2 years now!!!! I have a severely impaired balance so I really need the Mobility Scooter to go out!!! The laptop is my window to the outside world!!!
On Thursday I had an appointment with my Phycologist and I was feeling so “less heavy!” Happy as well!!!! But on Friday my SMA hit me on the face so hard ..... I had a horrendous fall broke my head right side ribs collar bone and toes and ankle!!!! This is its way to push me down!!!! Oh God if I was mad honestly I was really angry!!!
Another trip to A&E come back yesterday feeling like RUBBISH!!!
I just thought I can’t even be happy because it takes my happiness away and my life as well!!!!
Well here I am alone all my body is very sore!!!!
But to you think that I was silent???? Oh God if I shouted I swore I “bloody” did it all!!!!!
Oh well I will not allow SNA to rule my life so I don’t care about broken bones I just told Her to F###€^<>^%^$^.....!
Here I am alone drinking my coffee until the the next one!!!!
SMA CAN TRY TO SPOIL MY HAPPINESS BUT IT WILL NOT WIN!!!!
Broken bones..... Ah Ah Ah not a problem!!!
I fully accepted my condition I’m not ready for the wheelchair or strong pain relief (I.e Morphine!!!” ) for my Neuropathic Pain!!!
So I’m enjoying the Sunshine and trying not to “bloody!” Fall again!
ALL MY LOVE LOVELY LADIES!!!!!
Hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😉😉😉😊😊😊
Izzy 😘
