I have six cats whom I adore. They are great company and stop me from giving up as they need looking after.

I have a 13 year old cat who is the joy of my life. She was there for me after my dear husband died and if it wasn't for her I don't know how I would have got through the aftermath of his death. Even now she cheers me up with her antics when I'm feeling low. I would be lost without her.

I am 70. My cats are (2) 12 and the other 14/15 she was a stray so we aren't too sure. I must admit if and when they die 😢 I wouldn't get anymore, as like you say, who wouldlook after them. My son has 7 cats and lives in the UK, so couldn't take them; my daughter lives in China so that wouldn't be any good.

I have 2 cats,,2 ferrets and a new dog, who is totally crackers,,he jumps about and spins around in circles catching his own tail.it is very unnerving when he starts. One of my cats, Dottie is old and when she decides to lie on my bed with me,I struggle to get up, it's like as though she is a sleep inducement,, as she sleeps a lot and I wish that I could spend more time with her, but she gets cross very easily so days.

Hi, I have 4 cats, 2 are 10yrs and 2 are 1 Yr old. I love how they give you unconditional love. My 1yr old ginger cat rubs noses with me and is with me all the time I am home. I have Fibromyalgia, severe arthritis in my lumbar spine region, GAD, under active thyroid and 17yrs cancer survivor. Cats give me pleasure but it's painful when they want to sit on my lap. I have to put a cushion on my legs before they can sit on my lap. Xx

I am 70 yrs old in November and have had cats all my life. I have always taken in strays and injured cats along with birds and hedgehogs. I miss my last cat Bobby who died 4 yrs ago but l said due to my age l would not have another cat but instead l feed all strays who usually sit in the garden with me. I could not forgive myself if l took in another cat and then l died. Who would look after it (because most of them l feed are not in good shape and definitely are not pretty due to injuries). Having or even stroking an animal is very good for your heart, stress levels, illnesses or loneliness.
