I love animals. At present I have two cats, Lacey and Ziggy and dog called Honey. She is a cocker spaniel and I love her dearly. She brightens my days and is always by my side...I much prefer animals to humans. xx

I have a great little Scottie called Bramble, and she is my constant companion and gets me up in the morning. Without her my life would be so boring.

I currently have 2 elderly cats, who I inherited from my father last year. And to be honest I am enjoying them having a quiet retirement, as my father was losing his hearing and the volume of the TV or radio was very high!!! I would like to have a dog but my landlord won't let me.
Does anyone know how I can get a pet therapy dog??? which I am sure would benefit me greatly with all my medical conditions and maybe even help me get back to work

@ja55yjax not a lot 😁😁. When my parents bought there house in 1964, it came with a cat...... But honestly talk to your family, about maybe them getting a dog and you looking after it during the day (if they work) and you taking it out for short walks (just a thought)

@Galion22 was it official pet therapy dogs or just pets you encouraged people to get, if the former I will contact my local SSAFA to see if they can help me, I served in the RN for 18 years

Hi I would not be without my two beautiful Cats both strays we took in. One we call Bubbles she never leaves our bed only at night to go for a little ramble. I had her spaded and thought she would just take off when we took her home but we put her on our bed and that was it, she is such a beautiful cat I talk to her all the time when making the bed and dusting the room takes my mind off myself. Holly is the other one all black she is not a house cat she likes to go out but stays in all night. Loves to sit on my lap for cuddles I could while the World away while stroking her. I also have three German Shepard dogs all loving so I am never without company I am Seventy five years young they keep me happy .

Hello esw048,
It was not official therapy animals just observations of caseworkers I was responsible for who attended the various cases, and noting the benefits of caring for an animal. I myself helped an old lady obtain a dog and saw the difference to her outlook on life . I am sure your local charity representative will assist you find a friend . I can assure you that local pet rescue establishments will also be very pleased to assist you matching with the right type of new friend. God bless you and good luck in finding your new adventure and friend.

Yes, I have a 14 year old cat called Charlie, who is very affectionate and I wouldn't be without him. He knows when I'm not too well and quite often sits on my knee for a cuddle.
