So nice to hear some of us are putting our time to good use. Cheering others is a lovely thing to do. Especially in these times. Instead of complaining there are others worse off. I'm just so glad to wake up to another lovely day.

Obviously this isn't my painting (a lovely Van Gogh), but I'd been inspired by the virtual museum tours you can see online these past months, so for Christmas one of my children got me a painting kit and a subscription for some virtual lessons! I haven't painted since I was a girl! I'm sure I'll be all thumbs at it, but I'm excited to start learning soon

I created that poem specially, to express my undying feelings and emotions to my late wife Christine who died over 25 years ago, age 45 from Cancer. she has now been dead longer than we were married, and nearly as long as we had known each other from first meeting!!
for me it was love at first sight and every day I miss her not being here and in my life.
she will always be my PERFECT PIXIE x

I started painting when I retired and attended an art class. My first watercolours were various shades of mud and I nearly gave it up as a bad job several times but was persuaded to persevere. Eventually I got the hang of it and especially not mixing warm colours with cool as that gave me my shades of mud. I moved in to acrylics and oil painting and sold many paintings at charitable exhibitions. Then a combination of psoriasis and arthritis started to restrict my output. So these days I limit myself to small (A4 and under) pen and wash sketches of local scenes and, if requested, peoples pets and houses.
Here is my latest of a waterfall in my local park.

You have a talent that's clear to see. I too have arthritis in both hands very painful. Painting should help the arthritis in the long run. Good Luck on your paintings cheers

@Dingle What a beautiful watercolour! I'm very jealous of your painting talents!
