I have more hobbies than I can throw a stick at, wish, I had the energy to do them. I sew  and make clothes pain permitting and paint I used to do landscapes, but now I have gone smaller and paint flowers on canvas with acrylic paint, I down load from face book any pictures I like and use the ideas.I was taught to paint and did not learn to draw and after 30yrs I learned to draw helps with flowers. My hands and arms hurt a lots as I had a bi-lateral mastectomy and this weakened my shoulders arms and hands after several operations on the same place around the areas left and right sides I dont like what was unnessary surgery, I am cancer free

what wonderful news Dolly to know that you are now cancer free.  Ive never been any good at drawing or painting, would love  to see some of your work. 

Nothing more therapeutic than creating something from scratch and knowing they will be given to people who with cherish them. I make my own Christmas cards every year. I also make medal boards for my niece and nephew and some of my Christmas presents as well.

I am an artist and have my own studio at home I have painted landscapes for years and decided to do flowers on smaller canvases just recently and found the change refreshing. I learned to paint mountains because I was born with them around me till I was 10 and this stayed with me. I dont think about anything when I paint, except what I am doing and this has been my therapy after having cancer twice and chemo which dulled my brain and I had to learn everything all over again, I survived because I am a survivor.I sew I took a course tears ago and for a change I cut and make till I have done enough. I do cut hair my training stood me in good stead, I do gardening but I help my husband in the garden on my active days but then I need a rest I paint to recover.

I am about to make a pattern for a waist coat for my husbands birthday and sew it that is very soooooooon!!!!.

How about sharing pictures of things you've created yourself in this discussion? Paintings,  hand-made stuff, photos, jewellry, embroidery, furniture...the list can go on and on :) or texts of your poems, stories, links to your videos or music files, etc. I am sure we will all be glad to look at beautiful things that can be made with our own hands and encourage the creators!
